Heard a friend say this yesterday. Most people go back to work full time for real on Monday. First 5-day work week in a hot minute. Monday is doomsday for most people. They’ll go back to playing a game with only losers. Even if you “win,” you’re not winning. Example: One of my old friends worked at a law firm, earning $900k a year as a 32 year old. Then his wife got pregnant. When she was 4 weeks away from giving birth, he asked the partners for a day off to be there to meet his child. They said no. “No, you can’t take off to meet your new child.” They gave him a lecture about work ethic and giving up everything for your career dream. All the partners missed their children’s births. So he had to miss out too. Prison Culture. If you’re like most employees, you have no real power. Just gotta suck teeth, swallow your pride and do what you’re told. It’s not really your fault. That’s prison culture in action. You can’t push back. You can’t say no. You can’t set boundaries. Just take on an infinite load of work. If you start to burn out, patch the holes in your soul with prescription medication. No wonder everyone’s out here zombied out on Xanax. Maybe the human spirit simply can’t handle being stuck in a cubical, churning through work that everyone knows is BS, just to collect a paycheck that barely gets you from month to month. Nobody was born for that life. But don’t worry. Big Pharma is here to save the day. They can help you feel nothing. Forget your dreams. Dull the pain. I’m off track a bit. My point is this: If you’d rather chew nails than go fake a smile at a webcam on Monday, there is a solution… Make 2025 the year you take back your days. Get your power back. Do work you love on your terms. Set your life up so that you don’t lose steam by day 10 of January. By day 10, almost everyone will have jumped ship on their so-called resolutions. So many people do this, there is actually an official day for it now. It’s called “Quitter’s Day.” Isn’t that a picture of modern society? We named a day in honor of quitting. Quitting works like gravity. A black hole of quitter energy. That’s why there are so many people working jobs they hate. You have to fight that power suck with every ounce of your strength. It’s not enough to have a plan. You need to be in motion. That’s why I built The Fearless Writer Challenge. Light on instruction. Heavy on action. The opposite of all those courses you’ve got wasting away on your hard drive. Whatever your plan for breaking out of prison culture for good, it starts with writing online. Wanna run a paid newsletter? Wanna sell books? Wanna be a coach? Consultant? Wanna start your own business? It starts with building an audience of potential customers, readers, and fans. Which starts with writing online consistently, regularly, and in a way that fits the platform. You have 48 hours to join. After that, we close and lock the doors. If you miss the boat, too bad. Read Online Howdy Ya'll, This week I bought two more Teslas (now up to three). I'm so tired of paying for gasoline and driving cars with 20 year old technology. Over the holidays I took my Tesla to the beach. The car drove by itself most of the way with my hands off the wheel. This is the future. Here's my most shared tweet this week (click to read all of it): Tim Denning @Tim_Denning If I had to start from $0 and make $1M online again at 38, here’s what I’d do: 12:34 AM • Jan 16, 2025 94...

Every writer leaves behind two graves when they die. The first one holds the body. That’s not so important. The second one holds the ideas they never got to write. That’s why I’m so intense about writing. It’s why I publish seven to ten blogs per week. It’s why I’m on LinkedIn, Twitter, and Substack constantly. I’ve never been worried about writing too much. I’m terrified I’ll write too little. What if I leave behind some of my best ideas? What if I never get the chance to talk about...
